Bayeux
Bayeux was one of the earliest Norse-settled towns in Normandy and became an important episcopal center. It is world-famous for the Bayeux Tapestry, an embroidered narrative of the Norman Conquest of England, likely commissioned by Bishop Odo, half-brother of William.
